Remote Operation System For Nuclear Power Plants

Remote operation of nuclear industry Radiation environment robots Remote disposal of nuclear waste

Background Pain Points

There is a strong radioactive hazard in the radiation isolation area of the nuclear power plant, and personnel cannot directly enter to carry out operations. Relying on the sequential force intelligent HFD series force feedback teleoperation system, a master-slave control platform is built in conjunction with a robotic arm. Operators can remotely complete tasks such as radioactive material transportation, nuclear waste picking, equipment inspection and maintenance in a shielded safe area, completely isolating people from radiation hazards.

Technical Highlights

• Support bidirectional remote master-slave control with tactile perception, providing real-time feedback on clamping resistance and object weight;

• The HFD series force feedback equipment can be adapted and integrated with various types of robotic arms;

• Paired with end force sensors and specialized clamping actuators, it accurately completes the grabbing and handling of radioactive materials.

Applied Value

Completely isolate operators from high-risk radiation environments and prevent radiation contamination injuries; Force feedback achieves flexible grasping to avoid leakage caused by collision and damage to nuclear waste containers; Reduce the frequency of personnel entering and exiting the sealed radiation chamber, and simplify the radiation protection management process.
