Dental Surgery Simulation Training System
Background Pain Points
Dental surgeries such as wisdom tooth extraction and implantation require extremely high levels of force control. Traditional model training lacks force feedback, making it difficult for students to master the precise force of actions such as tooth extraction, cutting, suturing, and drilling, resulting in operational risks.
Solution
Jointly develop a virtual simulation training system with South China University of Technology to support feedback on simulation experience. The system can replace the joystick with various handheld surgical instruments, covering core movements such as tooth extraction, implantation, cutting, suturing, drilling, etc., providing an immersive dental surgery training experience.
Technical Highlights
Multiple instruments can be quickly switched: the joystick can be replaced with a real surgical instrument form to enhance the realism of training
Full process action coverage: including key operations such as tooth extraction, implantation, cutting, suturing, drilling, etc
High precision force sensing restoration: accurately replicating the contact force, cutting resistance, and suture tension between teeth and bones
Applied Value
Enhance the interactivity and safety of dental surgery teaching
Reduce clinical training costs and accelerate learners' skill mastery
Provide a quantifiable force feedback training platform for dental education
